The Intimate Circles web gallery can be navigated in several ways:

To view a list of all all exhibition subjects, link to the Alphabetical list. You can also view the subjects alphabetically by clicking on the < > symbols in the upper right corner of the gallery window.

The By Profession list groups exhibition subjects by their professions, including a wide variety of areas of contribution to the arts, including writing, editing and publishing, curatorship, patronage, criticism, theatrical production, and more.

The Circles list organizes the subjects into five geographical groups, including the Southwest, New York, Paris, Harlem, and Chicago, reflecting their relationships to their artistic communities. A discussion of each of the five circles is available on the Essays page of this web site.
