Amy Feinstein holds a Ph.D. in English from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, 2001. Her primary research interests are in literary modernism and Jewish Studies.  Publications include an edition with critical introduction of Gertrude Stein's essay from 1896, "The Modern Jew Who Has Given Up the Faith of His Fathers Can Reasonably and Consistently Believe in Isolation" (PMLA, March 2001) and "Goy Interrupted: Mina Loy's Unfinished Novel and Mongrel Jewish Fiction" (Modern Fiction Studies, Summer 2005).
