From the New Haven Green
Walk north on College Street to Wall Street. Take a left on Wall Street. Enter the plaza on the right in the middle of the first block. The Beinecke Library is the large white marble and gray granite building facing east.

From outside New Haven
Take Interstate 95 (North or South) to Interstate 91 North (toward Hartford). Proceed on Interstate 91 to Exit 3, Trumbull Street. Follow the exit ramp directly onto Trumbull Street and continue three city blocks to the intersection of Prospect and Trumbull Streets. Turn left onto Prospect Street. Travel for one block to the intersection of Prospect, College, and Grove Streets. Limited parking is available on Grove Street. Walk south on College or High Streets to reach the library’s entrance on Wall Street.

From outside Connecticut
New Haven is located on the shore of Long Island Sound. The city is served by Tweed-New Haven Airport. The closest international airports are New York City's LaGuardia and Kennedy airports, Newark International Airport, and Hartford/Springfield's Bradley International Airport. Shuttle service to New Haven is available at each of those airports. Amtrak has daily service to New Haven's Union Station from Boston and Washington DC. Metro North has hourly service from New York's Grand Central Station. New Haven provides bus service to the Green from the train station and the Shore Line East Commuter Connection all stop at several points on or near campus.

Parking

There is limited metered street parking on Grove Street. Parking meters accept quarters only. There are two public parking lots in easy walking distance from the Beinecke, one on Grove and Church Streets (two blocks east) and the other on Broadway opposite the Yale Bookstore (two blocks west). The New Haven Traffic & Parking Department can provide more information on parking in the city.
