A discussion of making, reading, theorizing, evaluating, and understanding collaborative books that bring poetry and art into conversation. Panelists (who are both makers and critics) will consider questions of approaching collaboration from various angles--discussing the processes, challenges, and rewards of working collaboratively as well as the problems of considering collaborative books critically.

A discussion of coordinating, designing, financing, publishing, making, and distributing books that bring poetry and art into conversation. The panelists include independent printers and publishers, many of whom are also artists and/or poets, who consistently unite poetry and art in the book form. Panelists represent a variety of publishing and distribution models. The panelists will begin their conversation via email before the conference and all interested are invited to get a preview on the accompanying blog (to be posted in February 2008).
