Off Broadway Theater
41 Broadway

A musical setting by Matthew Suttor of a Beinecke modernist treasure, La Prose du Transsibérien, the landmark poem by Blaise Cendrars. This production draws on Yale talent past and present with director Elizabeth Diamond, narrator Max Gordon Moore, the Jasper String Quartet and Ashley Smith on clarinet. The memory poem - recounting a fateful trip across Russia in 1905 by a naive, yet headstrong young poet - is brought to life in many dimensions through the talents of designers Hannah Wasileski, Yi Zhao, and Liz Atkinson.

Seating for this concert is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please plan to arrive at least 15 minutes before the start time. Running time is approximately 35 minutes. This event is free and open to the public.
