Gruff Rhys Investigative Concert Tour
Gruff Rhys of Super Furry Animals will perform the first concert of his U.S. tour at the Beinecke Library.
Tickets are free but seating is limited. Register online at http://beineckegruffrhys.eventbrite.com.
The tour and documentary filming will begin at the Beinecke, where ancestor John Evans' map resides in the Lewis & Clark Collection.
John Evans left Wales in 1792 on a quest to find a mythical tribe of Welsh-speaking Native Americans. Gruff Rhys will follow the path of Evans using film, the written word, photo-story, social media, and song to create an investigative road movie, book, and album.
This is Rhys's second investigative concert tour. The first, a tour of South America, was documented in the 2010 feature film Separado!
