Kurt Weill: A Centennial Celebration

An exhibition of musical manuscripts, biographical documents, and photographs documenting the life and career of the German-American composer, drawn from the Kurt Weill and Lotte Lenya papers and prepared by Kendall Crilly, music librarian.
In conjunction with the opening of this exhibition, the Yale College Opera Company will present at Sudler Hall a performance of Kurt Weill’s short folk-opera "Down in the Valley" on Friday, October 20, 2000 at 5:15 p.m. A reception will follow the performance at Beinecke at 6:00p.m. This event is open to the public and free of charge.
The opera "Down in the Valley" will also be performed at Sudler Hall on Sunday, October 22 at 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
