Clark Maddux
Dr. Clark Maddux earned his PhD in American Studies from Purdue University in 2001. He has published essays on Edward Taylor, John Bunyan, and Cotton Mather. He is currently preparing a critical edition of one volume of the Mather’s unpublished Biblia Americana (Ezra through Psalms), which is scheduled to be published by Mohr Siebeck in Germany. For this project, in addition to the visiting fellowship from the Beinecke Library, he has received awards for study from the National Endowment for the Humanities, the Huntington Library, and the Herzog August Bibliothek in Wolfenbüttel, Germany. Dr. Maddux is an assistant professor of Early American Literature at Austin Peay State University in Clarksville, Tennessee.
