For those staying in the Omni Hotel, there is an on-site garage available to guests for a daily fee (currently $8.00).
Dormitory guests may arrange at check in for parking at the Colony Inn Garage, at about $7 per day. This garage is approximately four blocks from Calhoun College (0.5 miles). Driving directions from Calhoun to the Colony Inn Garage and walking directions back to Calhoun are provided below. Please note that this parking option is available to dormitory guests only.
Rates and locations of commercial garages and lots can be found on the City of New Haven's Parking Authority Web site . Metered parking is available throughout downtown and surrounding the campus.
Driving Directions from Calhoun College to the Colony Inn Garage:
From the corner of Elm and College Streets: drive south on College Street for one block (the New Haven Green will be on your left). At the traffic light, turn right onto Chapel Street. Continue on Chapel Street through two traffic lights (at High Street and York Street). The Colony Inn is on your right, half-way down the block after you have passed York Street.
Walking Directions from the Colony Inn Garage to Calhoun College:
Exit onto Chapel Street and turn left. Walk one and a half blocks to the corner of Chapel and High Streets. Turn left onto High Street. Walk one long block to the intersection with Elm Street. Cross Elm Street and turn right. Walk to the corner of Elm and College Streets: Calhoun College is on your left.
