In the street are a stagecoach pulling away, three mules tied together and laden with packs, and two oxen pulling a wagon; a man with a whip is walking behind the oxen. Up and down the sidewalk are a number of men and one woman. Signs on the buildings lining the street include City Drug, Adams & Co., St. Charles Hotel, Old Dominion, J. Friedman, J. Doll, King's Book Store, and Washington Market.

Two volumes containing poems, notes, and clippings. Volumes consist chiefly of poems, autograph manuscript, corrected, with manuscript additions, corrections, and notes pasted in. Volume I, dated "March & April 1903," contains drafts of the long poems, "Confessions of a Pyramid" and "The Phantom Queen of Sparta". The second volume, undated, contains drafts of "Her Majesty of Memphis," "The Lost Luck," and other poems.
