Description: Contains writings, correspondence, notes, sketches, notebooks, an address book, and a marriage certificate of William Rose Benet and Elinor Wylie. Writings are autograph manuscript and typescript drafts of Wylie's poems and short stories, chapters of two unfinished novels, an essay, and a literature review. Included among the writings is a typescript by William Rose Benét, entitled "For Bibliography of Elinor Wylie;" and poems by others, written to or about Wylie. The correspondence contains letters from Wylie to Stephen Vincent Benét, William Rose Benét, Anna Hempstead Branch, Clifton Fadiman, Edith Olivier, Edwin Arlington Robinson, Steven Runciman, Howard Swiggett, Carl Van Vechten, and May Williams Ward. Included in the collection is an autograph manuscript score of song for solo voice with piano accompaniment, music by Douglas Moore and words by Wylie; and a positive photostat of manuscript score of song, "White Snow," for solo voice with piano accompaniment, music by Mary Howe and poem by Wylie. The collection dates span 1922 to 1928.
