Description: The collection consists of graphite, ink, and watercolor sketches for three of Robert Locher's projects: two illustrations for Prancing Nigger by Ronald Firbank (New York: Brentano's, 1924); eight illustrations and title page designs for The White Robe by James Branch Cabell (New York: R. M. McBride & Company, 1928), and a dust jacket design for Tropical Winter by Joseph Hergesheimer (New York: A. A. Knopf, 1933). The Cabell sketches are accompanied by sets of negative and positive photostats of the finished illustrations; the Hergesheimer sketch is accompanied by a printed dust jacket.
