While Sara deals with her choice of colleges and writes about sexism and alienation, Joan composes angry poetry and treatises on wearing boxer shorts. Both generate anti-consumerist, pro-LGBTQ rights pieces that touch on riot grrrl issues such as sex education, race and class privilege, and sexual harassment. They accept several anonymous submissions, including pieces about getting an STD test, using condoms, and the objectification of the word "faggot."
