Poetry at Yale
A small archive of letters, manuscripts, and manuscript notebooks by poet, editor, and novelist Charles Plymell; the notebooks include drafts of poems and letters, miscellaneous notes, and drawings by the poet. All materials date from approximately 1968-1969.

John Haines is the author of numerous books of poetry, including At the End of This Summer, The Owl in the Mask of the Dreamer; Cicada, Leaves and Ashes, and News from the Glacier. His prose works include: Fables and Distances: New and Selected Essays and The Stars, the Snow, the Fire: Twenty-five Years in the Northern Wilderness.

New Haven, Conn.—A three-judge panel has named Frank Bidart the 2007 winner of University’s Bollingen Prize in American Poetry.
The judges described Bidart as “a poet whose work exemplifies consistent originality of theme, sustained linguistic and formal explorations, and a strong sense of the profoundly serious and adventurous nature of the poetic calling.”
