Description: Collection of 34 pieces of correspondence from American author Henry Miller to Judith Schmidt (later Douw) of Grove Press dating from 1961 through 1968. Correspondence, consisting chiefly of autograph postcards, signed, concerns personal and professional matters, such as books, plans, and travel arrangements. Correspondence mentions Grove publisher Barney Rosset and others. Includes: two letters, typescript carbon, from Schmidt to Miller and four pieces of correspondence to Schmidt, dating from 1963 through 1967, from Emile White, one card enclosing an autograph postcard, signed, to White from Henry Miller.
