Check out The Census for a new column by Ben Card (Graduate student in English, Yale University) on The Philosophy of Material Texts.   Watch this space for new essays by Emily Yankowitz, Eve Houghton, and others.

The Census is named for Henrietta Bartlett, scholar in New Haven, and for her pioneering work with Alfred W. Pollard on A Census of Shakespeare Plays in Quarto, 1594-1709 (1916).  It is the blog of the Yale Program in the History of the Book.
