Visiting New Haven
New Haven is a great place to live and work, and it is a great place to visit. The Beinecke Library is proud to call New Haven home and is part of a vibrant cultural community that welcomes visitors from far and near.
Visitors can find resources about New Haven’s history, dining, entertainment, shopping, and more online at INFONewHaven.com, a collaborative effort by Market New Haven and the Town Green Special Services District.
The Yale campus itself offers a broad set of museums, galleries, concerts, talks, and other places to visit and events open to the public to enjoy throughout the year – most of them with no admission charge. The Yale Visitor Center is the front door of the university and welcomes visitors from around the world. Visit the Visitor Center website for information on campus tours and links to useful information, from directions, to lodging and dining, and much more. The Yale Calendar of Events and the Yale Arts Calendar are great sources of information about exhibitions and events around the campus.
