The Beinecke Library has acquired five collages by poet and artist John Ashbery. Detailed information about the collection can be found online here: John Ashbery Collages (YCAL MSS 1229).
The beautiful and compelling works include images and themes that fascinated the poet throughout his writing career including European art, family history, and American popular culture. The collection inlcudes materials donated by John Ashbery’s husband David Kermani.
