English Paleography and Manuscript Culture, 1500-1800 printed last week at GHP in West Haven! Below, photographs of the book at press:
- one (of thirty-six) sheets in the press;
- the sheets drying in stacks;
- printer’s waste (showing a 17th-century recipe, “To make inke,” from the notebook kept by William Hill);
- a press check of the cover.
The sheets are now drying, and will be sent for binding this week!
