Biography

Humanities scholar and poetry advocate Lisa Simon is an adjunct assistant professor at University of Montana, Missoula and is part of the Humanities Montana Speakers Bureau.  She works on a host of digital humanities projects, integrating the substance of a humanities education with innovative and accessible technologies.  Her Beinecke project, titled “H.D., Archaeology, and the British Museum,” argues that the poet absorbed tenets of the curatorial theory of archaeologists via museum artifacts in her early poetry.  Lisa recently finished a doctorate at University of Washington, Seattle, titled “H.D.’s Anthropoetics.”
