Mark Bland studied at Victoria University, New Zealand, and St John’s College, Oxford, and is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of English Literature and Creative Writing, De Monfort University. He has published extensively on the bibliographical and textual scholarship of Ben Jonson and the London manuscript and book-trade of the early seventeenth century, and is the author of A Guide to Early Printed Books and Manuscripts (2010). While at Yale, he will be working towards the completion of an old-spelling edition of The Poems of Ben Jonson for Oxford University Press, which is expected to appear in 2013.
