History of the Book

The Yale Program in the History of the Book brings together an interdisciplinary community of scholars to explore the materiality of the written word over time and across cultures. Co-sponsored by Yale’s Department of English and the Beinecke Library, the Program hosts a series of public lectures throughout the academic year and the annual Harvard-Yale Graduate Conference in Book History. It also organizes the Book History Seminar Series, a workshop and reading group for Yale graduate students.

Visit the program website for full details about events and for links to recordings of past lectures.
