Paleographical Challenge 2020

Steal away from work and study, forsake your crosswords and your spelling bees! Beinecke Early Modern invites you to a paleographical puzzle on weekdays during our current exhibit, Subscribed: The Manuscript in Britain, 1500-1800. Join us here most weekdays, beginning January 29 through the run of the show, to test your manuscript mettle with an identification or transcription from the early modern British manuscript collections. A (suggested) solution will be provided in the following day’s post. Take the Paleo-Fitness Challenge! Our motto: strength and beauty through paleography.
